Tyack Corporate Health is a division of Tyack Health, one of the largest privately owned team-based health centres in Australia. Founded by Julia Tyack in 1968 it became Australia’s fastest growing manual therapies clinic in the mid-1980’s and evolved into the present state of the art multidisciplinary health centre it is to day.
Tyack Corporate Health draws on the experience and resources of Dr D. Weston Allen who, with Julia Tyack pioneered one of Australia’s most comprehensive and effective preventive health care programs during the 1970’s. After visiting leading US universities and cardiologists such as Dr Robert Bruce, in 1976, Dr Allen introduced stress testing using the (now standard) Bruce Protocol to Queensland and the first scientific ‘health age’ assessment to Australia. Dr Allen, Julia Tyack and other health professionals then founded the first Australian Institute of Total Health which took its unique, highly motivational and popular Total Health program to thousands of teachers, clergy and executives across Australia, and overseas.

Dr Allen was invited by the Family Medicine division of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners to educate GPs around Australia and to publish his work in the Australian Family Physician (Volume 8. October 1979). Dr Allen also published articles in the Medical Journal of Australia (1977, 2: 434-438), the Health Commission’s Regional Roundabout (April 1978), the Australian Journal of Sports Medicine (Vol. 12. No. 1. 1980) and other scientific journals. He also authored several books on Total Health.
Tyack Corporate Health thus combines over 30 years of experience with the latest research, equipment and talent to bring you the best available program, run by ten leading health professionals, including the sports medicine doctor for the Reds rugby team, Dr Richard Brown.
We are passionate about improving health and working with organizations to ensure that they get the best out of their leaders and staff.
